Longton Brickcroft Nature Reserve

The Wetland Nature Reserve covers over 11 hectares (27 acres), and has a visitors centre, picnic area and free car park. Fishing permits are available from the local post office. The Nature Reserve is within walking distance from Meadowside B&B.

Beacon Fell Country Park

Beacon Fell Country Park is one of the oldest in the country, being designated in 1970. The Country Park consists of 110 hectares of woodland, moorland and farmland. The summit is 266 metres above sea level and offers spectacular views of the Forest of Bowland and Morecambe Bay.
