Within the grounds of the castle we have superb landscaped gardens featuring many pathways paved with a wide variety of trees and shrubs. Longton Brickcroft Nature Reserve recently won the coveted green flag award for the best parks and green areas in England. We have beautiful bedrooms each with en-suite facilities. Longton Brickcroft Nature Reserve The Wetland Nature Reserve covers over 11 hectares (27 acres), and has a visitors centre, picnic area and free car park. Fishing permits are available from the local post office. The Nature Reserve is within walking distance from Meadowside B&B. Beacon Fell Country ParkBeacon Fell Country Park is one of the oldest in the country, being designated in 1970. The Country Park consists of 110 hectares of woodland, moorland and farmland. The summit is 266 metres above sea level and offers spectacular views of the Forest of Bowland and Morecambe Bay.
